Partnership with crowdfunding platform to bring community project ideas to life

Working in partnership with Spacehive, the UK's leading civic crowdfunding platform, South & East Lincolnshire Crowdis an initiative that will give local residents with an idea to improve their community the opportunity to gain funding via Spacehive's crowdfunding platform. The Partnership has allocated a total of £90,000 to the programme, with a maximum of £5,000 available per idea to boost projects towards their funding target. The deadline to put forward your idea in this round is 29^th March 2023.

SELCP and Spacehive will hold an information event on Tuesday 7^th February 2023 and a workshop to discuss potential project ideas on 22^nd February 2023. To register, visit www.spacehive.com

Councillors Martin Griggs, Portfolio Holder for Communities at Boston Borough Council, Councillor Sarah Devereux, Portfolio Holder for Partnerships at East Lindsey District Council and Cllr Gary Taylor, Portfolio Holder for Communities and Facilities, said: "We're excited to launch South & East Lincolnshire Crowd with Spacehive and I can't wait to see the range of ideas that our residents and communities put forward. Local people are best placed to understand the challenges and opportunities in their local area and this model puts them and their ideas in the driving seat.

I'm also calling on companies and organisations that care about Boston Borough, East Lindsey and South Holland to join us in offering support to project ideas, whether funding or in-kind, so we can turbocharge the success of locally-led campaigns. The more people that get involved in The South and East Lincolnshire Crowd the more inspiring local places we can create together."
