Michelle Sacks, Deputy Chief Executive (Growth) secures Huntingdonshire Chief Executive role
Michelle Sacks, Deputy Chief Executive (Growth), has today confirmed that she will be leaving the South & East Lincolnshire Councils Partnership to become Chief Executive of Huntingdonshire District Council.
During Michelle's many years of services to the Partnership Councils, Michelle has made a significant contribution to each Council and more recently the growth and development of the Partnership. This includes leading bids to Government for both Towns Fund and Levelling Up funding, which has seen over £100m of funding secured to deliver transformation projects for the communities in each Council area.
Announcing her departure, Michelle, said: "I am grateful for the opportunity to serve the people of South & East Lincolnshire. It has been an incredible journey working across the Partnership. I am deeply grateful for the hard work and support of the talented team and the brilliant network of partners through collaboration. Together, we have achieved remarkable progress and positive change, and I am proud of the work we have accomplished. We have put the South and East Lincolnshire on the map and it has been an honour to be part of that. Whilst sad to be leaving I am looking forward to meeting and working with new colleagues and partners in Huntingdonshire."
Since it was formed in October 2021, The South & East Lincolnshire Councils Partnership has furthered careers of many of its employees; which now include Michelle with this exciting opportunity in Huntingdonshire.
The Chief Executive of the South & East Lincolnshire Councils Partnership Councils, Rob Barlow, said: "I would like to congratulate Michelle on her appointment to the Chief Executive role at Huntingdonshire; and thank her for the excellent contribution she has made to Boston Borough Council and more recently the wider Partnership. Many of the major projects now live in our sub-region are as a result of Michelle's positive leadership and the hard work of her team. I wish Michelle all the best as she moves on to pastures new."
