National Arts Fundraising School offers free places for culture and heritage practitioners and volunteers in South and East Lincolnshire

The National Arts Fundraising School (NAFS) is offering five free spaces for cultural and heritage organisations or practitioners working in South & East Lincolnshire, funded by the South & East Lincolnshire Councils Partnership's Arts Council England NPO programme.

The NAFS training programme was established over 35 years ago, and has helped almost 2,000 individuals and organisations raise over £500million, as well as teaching important skills such as writing powerful proposals, setting up credible giving campaigns, asking high net worth individuals for support and clinching sponsorship deals with companies.

All applicants will be able to choose between a five-day residential training programme near Manchester from 28 October to 1 November, or a month-long online programme on Monday and Tuesday mornings from 4 November to 26 November.

This offer is open to cultural and heritage practitioners and organisations of all sizes, and the only requirements are to be working within South Holland, East Lindsey or Boston Borough.

The Partnership's NPO funding looks to support arts, culture, heritage and creativity across the whole of South and East Lincolnshire, providing meaningful opportunity and programming for residents, developing the sector and helping to build our arts, culture and heritage offer.

If you have any questions relating to your eligibility for the programme, please contact Sam Phillips at Samantha.phillips@e-lindsey.gov.uk, or if you have questions about the programme, please speak to Bernard Ross at bernardross@mc.consulting.

In a joint statement, Councillor Graham Marsh, East Lindsey District Council's representative on the NPO culture board, Councillor Sarah Sharpe, Boston Borough Council's representative on the NPO culture board, and Councillor Elizabeth Sneath, South Holland District Council's representative on the NPO culture board, said: "We are delighted to be able to support this programme that will provide many culture and heritage organisations and practitioners with fantastic opportunities to learn new skills that can improve their current and future projects.

"This is what the Partnership's NPO programme is all about - using the funding from Arts Council England to improve the offer for arts, culture and heritage across the sub-region, whilst helping individual development along the way. If you think this might be for you please take the time to find out more and get your application in."
