Volunteer Opportunities with South & East Lincolnshire Councils Partnership (SELCP)

Join Our Trusted Volunteer Team!

SELCP recognises the important role that volunteers play within our community and we have made it a commitment to support volunteers to access opportunities within the partnership.

We are developing our volunteer offer and hope to bring many volunteering opportunities forward in the coming months.

Current Role - Cleaner and Greener

Trusted volunteers will work with the South & East Lincolnshire Councils Partnership at pre-agreed routes and venues.  Regular activities include:

  • Working with a group to improve a green space or open place
  • Litter picking - green spaces/on pavements (in rural locations)
  • Sweeping pavements
  • Weed removal
  • Leaf clearance
  • Maintenance of litter bins
  • Improve and renovate public benches and railings
  • Other opportunities will be shared when they arise

When?

During the hours you choose or when a scheduled event is taking place.

We are not expecting you to volunteer for a whole day, just two hours at any one time would be a great help.

What's involved?

All volunteers will need to sign up to our Trusted Volunteer Scheme in partnership with Lincolnshire Community and Voluntary Service (LCVS) to access required training.

We will:

  • Provide appropriate training
  • Provide support
  • Provide PPE and equipment if required
  • Support you on your volunteering journey

Who to contact?

If you are interested in volunteering for this role, or enquiring about any other roles that might be available, please email Alison Carlisle, Volunteer Coordinator.

We look forward to partnering with you as Trusted Volunteer.
